David Herkt, poet, writer, researcher won the Australian Wesley Wright Poetry Prize for The Body of Man. His series High Times: The New Zealand Drug Experience 1960–2000 was awarded a New Zealand Film & Television Award. He asserts that all of his careers have been dependent on well-curated and well-conserved libraries.
